Progress Update on Kanon School Uniform

About 80% done. I still need to add buttons to the dress and make the whole thing **smaller**. It’s incredibly big on me, though the right length. I modified a jacket pattern to make the dress. o.O

I was forced into making the capelet border blue, but there’s no way I can pull off cosplaying Mai or Sayuri simply because I’m not tall enough. I’m not sure what to call myself when people run into me at the Anime Boston convention… Ugh.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Me Photoshoot 1

A real photoshoot, more or less for once this time. Some of the photos were taken on a timer and some were taken by a friend. ^.^ I’ll do a second photoshoot in the winter school uniform sometime in the future, probably after I get the proper shoes.

Christmas List

The season of happy holidays is upon us, and like any other good assimilated American, I must join in on the Christmas gift-grabbing frenzy. Everything else doesn’t matter. There isn’t a single holiday decoration up in my house. No tree, no light, no candlestick. Enough money is being spent on presents for Christmas already, which my parents has adopted as best as they can as “kids demand presents from adults, but no lucky money for you on Chinese New Year’s Day”.

All I want is a Wacom (Graphire4 4X5) tablet, conveniently on sale at Best Buy for $69.99, marked down from retail value of $99.95. It’s cheaper than what I can get from Amazon.com and the sale lasts through this Saturday nationwide. I’ll be receiving it as a present from my dad on Saturday, when we pick it at from the store, hopefully without being crushed in the aisles or at the checkout counter.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Me ED Dance Photo Shoot

I’ve always wanted to try the awesome dance featured in the ending sequence of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, but I haven’t found anyone who would actually videotape me doing the whole thing, so I was stuck with setting the camera on auto and having it take a whole bunch of photos. The original photos were taken on Halloween day when I had my pseudo-Haruhi getup on, but the posing in some of them turned out to be too awkward, so I replaced a few later on while wearing my regular clothes.
