Really? Really! Opening Movie & Preview

Really? Really! is another erogame made by Navel and is set to be released later this month on November 24th. The game is a sequel to the Kaede ending in an earlier game Shuffle!, also made by Navel and later converted into an anime. The primary artist of Really? Really! is Nishimata Aoi, who, in my opinion, is the worse of the two Navel character design artists. She designed Lisianthus, Kaede, Primula, and Mayumi, while the other artist, Suzuhira Hiro, was responsible for Nerine, Asa, Nadeshiko (the teacher), and the guys in Shuffle!. Hiro also handled the bulk of the characters appearing in the Nerine-ending sequel game, Tick! Tack!.

Story
I’m assuming that the reader of this entry has, at least, a vague recollection of what Shuffle! (game or anime) was about. In Really? Really!, Rin and Kaede are living happily together. A check-up on Primula’s emotion control goes wrong and shatters Kaede’s memories into pieces. She falls unconscious, and it’s up to Rin and his friends to enter the world of Kaede’s memories to reorganize the fragments. Along the way, Rin encounters people in his and Kaede’s past…

Game Play
Most of the game follows the basic platform of an erogame.
Fixing Kaede’s memories isn’t as simple as the traditional click-click-click through the dialogs. As the player (Rin) progresses through the game, he’ll pick up Keyword cards from the people who he meets. Every now and then, the player will enter the Really Zone, during which the player can apply the Keyword cards to Kaede’s memories to correct them. Choosing the right Keywords will cause the Kaede Meter to increase while choosing the wrongs ones will lower it. If the Kaede Meter reaches zero, the game ends.

Characters
The main characters of Really? Really! besides Tsuchimi Rin are Fuyou Kaede, Primula, Shigure Asa, Mayumi Thyme, Benibara Nadeshiko, and a new girl from Rin’s middle school years, Yae Sakura. I’m guessing that Rin can end up with any of the aforementioned girls, though I doubt Nadeshiko would be an ending candidate since she is well out of the harem age bracket and also Rin’s teacher. Why is Rin’s teacher a main character in this game? I seriously don’t want to see Rin X Nadeshiko action, though it is definite that she’ll get fan service CGs in the game.

Sub-Characters
These are the characters who show up every now and then but otherwise are out of Rin’s harem candidacy: Lisianthus, Nerine, Kareha, Tsubomi, and Midoriba Itsuki. Plenty of parents will also appear: Shigure Ama, Sage, Eustoma, Forbesii, and Kaede’s elusive father who was missing from Shuffle!, Fuyou Mikio.

…Have I mentioned that the game is rated 18+?

I plan on playing through the game at least once to see how Rin gets out of the mess known as Kaede’s psychotic mind and whether he’ll end up screwing middle school-aged Kaede and Asa or not. I’m not excited about the new character Sakura because her design doesn’t look too good and I prefer lolis over busty girls any day. From the looks of sample CGs on the Really? Really! site, it is possible for the player to get a threesome going with Kaede and Asa.

The limited edition of the game costs 9,240 yen, which is approximately $78.45. The standard edition will come out later this year or in the beginning of the next.
