Summary

Louise gives Princess Henrietta the Wind Ruby Ring that Wales transferred to her as he laid dying. Both girls cry and Henrietta assures Louise that it wasn’t her fault.

Professor Colbert asks Headmaster Osmond for a short vacation so that he can search for a ‘dragon’ in the village of Tarbes, and Osmond grants his request. Colbert leaves as Louise enters the room, having returned from her mission. She asks the headmaster about the “Descendant of the Void”, which she cannot remember was mentioned by whom. Osmond explains that Void magic is a legend of the past, which causes Louise to doubt whether it really referred to herself, since her magic skills are zero.
Louise is changing her clothes when Saito comes into the room. She gets embarrased and tries to hide because she is shirtless. After Louise does manage to put one on, the elastic band in her panties snaps and the underwear falls off, prompting a sharp scream from her. Saito broke the elastic band the last time when he washed her panites.

Saito and Louise yells at each other and Saito ends up storming out of the room. Louise throws a pillow into his face.
Once outside, Saito kicks his bath tub/ex-cooking pot in anger and stubs his toe. Siesta approaches him in travel clothes because she is going to visit her home village. Saito asks for more detail on her great-grandfather, who claimed that he came from another world. Siesta tells him that there were two ‘dragons’, one of which disappeared and the other still remains and currently hidden near her village. Saito immediately begs Siesta to take him along with her to her village so that he can see this ‘dragon’. Kirche, Tabitha, and Guiche overhear the conversation and decides to investigate the whole deal, too.

Louise is still upset over Saito and wonders how she should apologize to him. A horse’s whinny interrupts her thoughts and Louise turns around in time to see Saito and Siesta riding out of the school. The school cook informs her that Siesta is visiting the village of Tarbes (now with Saito in tow). Louise stomps off, in rage toward Saito for leaving with Siesta even though he had kissed her during the Albion ordeal. She then realizes that she has heard of the village name somewhere.
On the way to Tarbes, Siesta questions Saito if it’s okay have left without notifying Louise.

Saito and Siesta reach the village of Tarbes and Siesta offers Saito to introduce him to her family, but Saito declines. He asks Siesta to retrieve the map that indicates where the ‘dragon’ is located while he waits on the outskirts of the village.
Meanwhile, Professor Colbert speeds toward Tarbes on his horse-drawn carriage.
As Saito and Siesta look over the map, Kirche’s familiar pops out of the bushes and scares the two. Kirche, Tabitha, and Guiche then make their appearances along with their familiars, after having tracked down Saito and Siesta. They join together in search of the ‘dragon’, which leads them to a mountain tunnel.

In Albion, the Reconquista has overtaken the kingdom and the Creepy Cleric Guy gleefully announces a new beginning.
As Saito and his schoolmates travel through the tunnel, they notice someone following them. After an tensed moment, Kirche recognizes the other person’s voice. Professor Colbert steps into view with Louise. They realize their goals are the one and same. Louise tells Saito that she is merely investigating the matter with the professor and not following him.

The group arrives at the end of the tunnel and continue their journey through a lush forest. They eventually come upon a large shack. Tabitha notices a stone post with odd letters. Saito recognizes them immediately- they’re in Japanese, spelling out “Navy Ensign Sasaki Takeo, At Rest in Another World”. Colbert opens the lock on the shack and the group finds the ‘dragon’, which turns out to be a small airplane, an A6M Zero. Saito cannot believe his eyes and touches the plane, causing his Rune Powers™ to activate. He tells Siesta that her great-grandfather hailed from his home country of Japan.
Professor Colbert thinks that Saito just might be able to return home with the plane. He tells him in the past, the two planes flew on the day of a solar eclipse, but one of them missed the correct time slot and stayed in this world. As long as Saito gets his timing just right, he should be able to fly into the eclipse and return home.
Louise is shocked by the notion that Saito might be gone…

In the Tristain palace, Princess Henrietta blames herself for the loss of Wales’ letter. Her mother, Queen Marianna, comforts her and asks Henrietta to accept everything as fate. Then a messenger runs up them with news of highest urgency.
The Zero plane is brought back to the Tristain Magic Academy. As onlookers gawk at and chatter about the machine, Saito realizes the ‘dragon’’s blood that Professor Colbert had shown him earlier is in fact, gasoline, and what he needs to fuel the plane.

Saito hops into the plane and finds that he knows all of the controls. His sword, Derflinger, reminds him that his Rune Powers™ enables him to fully understand all weapons that he touches.
Saito spots Louise across the courtyard and she stomps off again in frustration. Her mind is still in shock about Saito leaving her when Guiche rides into the school on a rabid panting horse. He heard from the town that Albion has changed its name to Reconquista and declared war on Tristain.
Meanwhile in ex-Albion, Cromwell, Wald, and Matilda decide to attack Tristain in three days, on the day of a solar eclipse.

Saito has yet to be upgraded from straw bed to Louise’s bed,
and the last episode is looming closer and closer.

Impressions
The next episode will probably turn into a massive dilemma: Should Saito return home or stay behind with Louise? With the ex-Albion & Tristain war raging in the background, Saito should have a heck of time getting his plane to soar right into an eclipse. I hope he doesn’t crash & burn.

(Kids, don’t try this at home. Please don’t look directly at the sun even when it’s in an eclipse, either)

Since epsiode 13 is also the last episode, it’s highly possible that more of Louis’ true Void powers will surface. I she think she’ll just master them and solve Saito’s dilemma by being able to transport him back and forth between the two worlds.

While Saito bugging out like this reminds me of Maebara Keiichi…

…the item in question of this picture is not Saito.

The Three Magical Musketeers? (Where’d Tabitha go?)

Are these location names accurate?
Tristania, Germania, Galia, Albion.
